Description
A good quality, rear axle mount, derailleur for mountain bikes and racing bikes. It can be used on 5,6 and seven speed sprocket clusters.
What is a derailleur?
The derailleur is the device that changes gears by moving the chain from one sprocket to another. Most multi speed bikes have two derailleurs, one on the rear and one on the front.
The speed depends on the gear ration between front and rear sprockets.
A higher gear ratio produces a higher speed, but it more difficult to pedal uphill.
A lower gear ratio produces a lower speed and makes the bike easier to pedal uphill.
